Q Light Controller+

Hello all, have a project for a special person, whom plays trumpet with her toes ( she has no other limbs ). The three toes she uses to activate the solenoids on the trumpet are available via opto isolators to drive a Raspberry Pi QLC platform.

If there is a method to trigger scene changes via these three outputs to the Pi gpio which would change the scene, am capable of sorting the hardware interface, including a RS485 DMX512 output stream.

The lass would be able to run here own light show with direct DMX512 output from her trumpet stand, could imagine the effects possible.

Has a gig in Japan, October this year. Any assistance with front end interface to the QLC scene change would save me valuable time, taken an age to sort the actuator system on the trumpet. Envisage doing this mechanical actuator process for Saxophone and Flute, maybe clarinet, with DMX512 QLC light show direct control by the performer themselves.

My background is Electrical Engineering, designing embedded systems and analouge design for 40 years.

The official QLC+ on RPi image has GPIO plugin, so there should be no problem with that,
Otherwise, build QLC+ from sources, including the GPIO plugin

Spent some little time doing background searching, on the GPIO interface options. May well be more simple than i imagined. Much to do with the versatility and clever QLC program you created.
