Thanks for sharing Kyle!

I take you use Resolume for videos ? Why not QLC+ ?
I'd be interesting to know a bit more about the equipment you used and how you managed to control it all.
I see last year you introduced flames and arches ! :)

This is an interesting usage case that I would like to cover with the 3D preview in QLC+ 5. Would it help you to be able to preview your show without freezing your ass in the snow next years ? :)

This year I am moving so I wont be doing a show this Christmas but yes the 3d would be great I know this is getting work on but currently the 3d is missing the pixel in the 3d, and I have played around with the alpha 3 qlc5 with the Server and Client and I know its not completed yet but that also would be a big help not using chrome remote to log into the controller pc. The reason that I don't have the pc with me across the street is because there is to many connections that is required to move it, the usb sound card, the ethernet for acn dmx, the timecode to the resolume pc, Also which you know how many hours would be shaved off with new QLC5 push and pull to change the segment of a scene or cue.

How I used QLC and Resolume in the show I used the first 3 Tracks just for audio and video, Track 1 was the source audio, Track 2 was timecode sent to the aux audio output to the resolume pc. and Track 3 was the cue for whatever video via artnet to resolume.

For the Resolume I use it because of the video mapping and CPU usage the mickey head which is hard to see is completely video mapped, and this year I didn't have projectors across the street, I used short throw projectors and I had to video map those to be square on the wall, with out mapping the square was almost a triangle.

For this show I used
Qlc+ 4
Resolume 5 arena
6 mini rgbw leds moving heads
4 beam MH led
2 30w spots MH
The trees are 3 led 20mm half ball leds
My main controller is a pixlite 16
lightorama 16ch high power controller
3 projectors
Bubble machine
2 flame throwers (aerosol)
home made snow machine
Few miles of wire

Sound is a replica of the Meyer sound LFC1100 dual 18 subwoofer
and hidden speakers in the light post column.
