Better video player

I love QLC+, but I think the video function is really close to working but not quite usable. Everything works with using IAC driver to send MIDI to launch the buttons in QLC+ to play the videos, but as you can see in the video below changing between clips has issues with the animation of the window opening where it zooms as it opens and sometimes shows the background of the desktop behind it.

I know QLC's main function is for DMX and its great for that. But I feel like the video function could really be a good opportunity for open source software and really give a great alternative to spending $1000 on resolume. Maybe QLC 5 once finished will have a better video function. Maybe even Ableton Link enabled too if that's not asking too much of this great open source software haha.

Oh and if I'm just doing something wrong with my settings for the video player please let me know so I can fix it so it's actually usable and looks good. Thanks!

One thing I always do when running videos, is to set my computer background/wallpaper to black. Another thing I do is have a 1 frame fade in and fade out on my actual videos, so it doesn't "flash" on and off.

That looks much like a macOS specific issue.
Is it even possible to disable stupid window animations/transparency ?

Otherwise...use another OS :)
