So I tend to rebuild my show and setup a few times a year based on needs. One thing that I would love to see would be the ability to export/import a frame and it's sub widgets. Specifically .. I generally replicate on the screen the layout of USB control surfaces like APC40 Mk1 and Mk2, Launchpad .. etc so the operator has a visual reference to what the surface provides. I end up having to rebuild the surface often and have gotten to storing a "base" file with a set of surfaces i *think* I might use together Configuring the frame and widgets takes time as I have to id all the buttons, set feedback colors, make the screen layout with fonts and colors.. etc. So what i'd like to do is be able to do that once.. and then import a frame as needed. I am including a recent screenshot of a layout as an example. I've thought about doing this externally since it's XML .. but wanted to see if that would be useful.
As always .. thanks for the effort.

This is interesting, thanks for sharing.
One thing I recently added to QLC+ 5 is a proper import manager.
For now it imports only fixtures/fixture groups/functions but the idea could be to extend it to VC widgets as well, even though the positioning logic would be hell on earth.
If the above takes place at some point, then it would indeed makes sense to have a pre-defined library of controller layouts.
Would you care to share the qxw for the screenshot above ?

I really would appreciate an import option for frames, too! Regarding positioning: I wouldn't care a lot about that. The user decides to import it, so he should take care of that - just place the imported frame on top left corner on top of all other widgets (this is quite common for importing things in lots of other software).
EDIT: Maybe you were talking about positioning of the widgets inside the frame - well this could be tricky...
