Submaster without frame

Hey guys!

I have the following situation: i'm playing in a band and we needed a simple solution to control the lighting. For now i created several chases and memory's etc. I put them in collections and in de vc i create buttons for these collections, so that our audio engineer only has to press a lightning scene that matches the music we are playing. So far so good. But we've got a kind of pixelbar-ish fixture which is kinda intens for indoor use. So i would like to make a kind of submaster so when were playing outdoor we can rock, but when were playing indoor at a lovely wedding, the family doesn't need sunglasses :D . I've been searching but i could not get a right answer, forgive me if the answer is there already.

Some background info
-QLC+ is running on a raspberry pi in kiosk mode, so changing dimcurve in channel configuration for the fixtures is not a solution. Unless there is a way to change that with a macro/script
-The "pixel bars" are fixtures with 5 RGB heads and no dimmer channel, just 5x RGB

Thanks in advance!

Please find enclosed the submasters project of mine.

It illustrates what you can do with submasters inside the frame where the functions get started
and
with (level) sliders in monitor mode and it's submaster.

start a funcion in the solo-frame. -> play with the submaster and check the sliders following the levels set in the selected function.
also verify this in simple desk.

now overrule the set GREEN value with the slider - the value will be changed to the set value. (Check using simple desk)
Play around with the submaster next to the level sliders. Now you will notice the 'amount' of green will change.

But to answer the OP's question: No a submaster has to be inside the frame where the function you want to control is in.
This frame can be the whole VC (!) -> but the you better use the Grand Master
