Hi,
A couple of months ago I already opened a thread on automated lighting for quizzes. I didn't manage to control the lights through QLCPlus, so my whole setup kindof failed and I had to revert to manual control.
What I did:
I put my DMX USB Pro between the lightning panel and some kind of DMX hub and setup QLCPlus to Pro RX/TX and passthrough ON. So the IN port of the DMX USB Pro was connected with DMX5 to the control panel and the OUT port was connected through an adapater to DMX3.
This seemed to be working great since I could control the lights from the mixer, even when QLCPlus was turned off.
However, opening any slider in QLCPlus didn't do anything. I didn't know the used channels so I tried all of them, but nothing hapened. When disconnecting the mixer, it suddenly worked, but with the mixer connected QLCPlus didn't seem to do anything.
Any tips on how to fix it next time? Also, is there an easy way to somehow cycle through all channels and figure out what fixtures are available? It's mostly RGB spots, so if I know one channel I'm pretty sure I can figure out what the others do.
