Hey community! I'm stoked for what QLC 5 is gonna offer. A few weeks ago I was hired as an LD and operator for a dance at a college that was having a live band. I thought it'd be fun to see how QLC worked in the situation. I used it on my touchscreen laptop, with my MacBook Air running a backup of the show in the event my primary "console" failed. During the show, there were some bugs in the system (lights not changing to the colors I selectd, or not respoding to fx, etc.), however due to the time constraint, I wasn't able to try to work them out afterword. So, I'm not entirely sure whether the bugs were in QLC, my programming, or physical problems with the equipment (bad cables, unreliable Chinese knockoffs, etc.). I put together a video on how I put together my show for busking within QLC+. It'd be great to get everyone's thoughts on how I set it up.

What USB/Dongle were you using? I've used QLC+ a lot now (Windows and Linux) and only ever experienced a problem when using a very inexpensive Lixada512 USB/DMX dongle. So, for live shows I use the more expensive Enttec DMX USB Pro and never had a problem.

I was using an Enttec Open DMX. I don't think it was the dongle however. I switched it out for a RJ485 to usb adapter and had the same problem. I'm currently building a new showfile for a music fest., using QLC+ as the lighting "console."
