I've made a more complex fixture definition than my first one. I'm hoping it's ok.

The manual says "Illuminance @ 2 m: 4870lx" but I'm not sure how to convert lux @ 2 metres into Lumens.

You cannot convert because the optic spec's are unknown.
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

Ok, that makes sense!

I think I've made a duplicate. Sort of.
I searched for "Chauvet" on here:
https://github.com/mcallegari/qlcplus/t ... s/fixtures
That found lots of results, so I searched for "Geyser" and found nothing so assumed it hadn't already been done.
Looks like someone has already made a fixture definition, but with a mis-spelt name:

Here is a site I use often to convert LUX:

you need Lux/distance and angle to get an answer.

I think Lumens is the Lux value across an area of 1 Metre Squared. Therefore to get the illumination figure, point your fixture at a screen or wall, so the circle of light is clearly seen, then adjust the distance between the fixture and the wall until the circle of light is 1.1M in diameter (the area of the light circle will now be 1Metre squared). Now measure the intensity with a light meter reading in LUX (you can pick them up for a tenner on ebay) - get an average across the circle if the intensity varies significantly. Measure with the back of the light meter touching the screen or wall, so it is at the same distance from the fixture as the wall. The Lux value will now be your Lumens value of the fixture :-)

Obviously, do this in a darkened room, or at night!
