Midi Ouput to Obey 70

I was wondering if anyone knew if my idea would work:

I have a Obey 70 light controller and I am about to buy one of these cables as the obey 70 supports midi. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-to-Midi-C ... 2595678776 I was wondering if any of you would knew if QLC could output the midi notes using the cable above, or atleast some, to the obey 70 to make light shows a lot easier and more interesting. (Below is a picture of the midi notes)
