I would like to create a button in the virtual console where I can switch on/off a channel (0 to 100%) on a fixture directly. It works with the sliders but not with buttons. I would like to use the software mainly as a switchboard for a large variety of devices. I know it was not intended or designed for that purpose but someone maybe knows how to do it.
One workaround I know would be to create a scene and activate this by the button but this is quite some work to do for around 50 buttons. So I was looking for a more direct approach.
Virtual Console - Buttons usage

Your intended use of QLC+ differs from what it has been developed for so creating cue's and correspondent buttons is the only way... I'm afraid.
But you can easily make use of the clone tool in de cue list.
(Or tweak the project-file directly IF YOU KNOW what you are doing. The file can easily be broken therefore this warning)
Succes

It won't be much more work.
Create each scene and label carefully then use the button matrix creator in the virtual console to create all the buttons at the same time.
Try a few to begin with, just to get a sense of how large you want them and the label length.
