MIDI program change: select exclusively a cue list

dear friends,
i need to apologize for being so curious, but i find this piece of software so powerful yet enough intuitive for a beginner like me!

that's my question, which i sough an answer for in the forum but to no avail.
Scenario: i prepared a series of cue list, each for every tune we play in a gig. I set for all of them the same combination ( ie, space for advance to next step, control change 25 for fading through steps) . so, even a friend of mine can scroll through steps with the space bar in a single cue list. But i need to activate only a cue list at a time, obviously. With the program change i can activate the right cue list, but the previously active cue list doesn't go deactivated. There is a way to activate exclusively the cue list that i select with the program change deactivating the previouly active cue list? just like on a synth, the program change select a new patch that sobstitutes the previuosly one selected?

do you believe i made myself clear enough? it is a reasonable way of thinking a show? we would not like to plan a show with a click track to sync the lioght show to, at the moment...

i thank everyone of you who took the time to read this in advance.....

What if you put all the cue lists in a solo frame?

Can you attach simplified version of your workspace (or the full one, whatever is better for you) so that we can see better what are you trying to do?

thats it. i tried an exclusive frame. i put inside two cue list, each og them set with the spacebar to go through

the steps. I thought i could send a program change, select the desired cue list, and then scroll through it. then select another cue list, and scroll throu it with the ame space bar. It does not work, spacebar makes me jump from one cue list to another, it seems to work on both cue lists at then same time

Next round:

1. create your chasers
2. create VC Solo Frame
3. create your VC cue lists in the Solo Frame
4. assign space as next key for all VC cue lists
5. assign separate play/pause controls to each VC cue list
(I think you already did this)
6. Open the Cue List properties and in the Cue List tab, select "Do nothing" for "Behavior of the Next/Prev buttons when the chaser is not active".

If that doesn't help, please attach your QXW file and any custom QXF file here, so that I can open your show file and see the details.

It Did Help!!!
actually, the right piece of advice was the "do nothing thing"! thank you very much, indeed. You are a master!
still, i did not have worked it out thoroughlly.
Well, i admittedly worked it out exactly the way you and me intended, using keyboard shortcut. ie, if i set one cue list to activate at the press of Num+7, and the other is Num+9, i can do anythyng i want. Even a Num+0 to control the stop of the cue list. great. The thing i cannot do again now is making the select from the program change. now it seems i cannot again do the select from then program change control. i would like to attach my projest, a very simple indeed for now, to check my errors. you are a very skilled mate. than you very much
