DMX Monitor and SimpleDesk UI Questions

Hi all,
Apologies if these questions should be in 2 separate threads. I'm new here, and the questions seem similar enough to go together. Also, if you think this would fit better in the Mac Specific sub-forum, feel free to move it. I am on a Mac but have no reason to suspect these are Mac-only issues.
1.) In DMX monitor 2D view, how can I zoom in on my fixture arrangement, so that I can more easily see the changes? I have added appropriate dimensions to all fixtures according to their manuals, but the fixtures appear very small.
2.) In the official tutorials showing SimpleDesk, I've seen a horizontal scrollbar used to show more DMX channels. My SimpleDesk is missing this scrollbar, so I have to use the page arrows, which often make me lose my place mentally. How do I get that scrollbar?
My setup is:
Mac OS X 10.11.5
QLC + Version: 4.10.4
Thanks,
Mike
Edit: I was able to partially resolve question #1 by decreasing grid size. My fixtures still appear significantly smaller than the stock QLC+ ones.
