DMX Monitor and SimpleDesk UI Questions

Hi all,

Apologies if these questions should be in 2 separate threads. I'm new here, and the questions seem similar enough to go together. Also, if you think this would fit better in the Mac Specific sub-forum, feel free to move it. I am on a Mac but have no reason to suspect these are Mac-only issues.

1.) In DMX monitor 2D view, how can I zoom in on my fixture arrangement, so that I can more easily see the changes? I have added appropriate dimensions to all fixtures according to their manuals, but the fixtures appear very small.

2.) In the official tutorials showing SimpleDesk, I've seen a horizontal scrollbar used to show more DMX channels. My SimpleDesk is missing this scrollbar, so I have to use the page arrows, which often make me lose my place mentally. How do I get that scrollbar?

My setup is:
Mac OS X 10.11.5
QLC + Version: 4.10.4

Thanks,
Mike

Edit: I was able to partially resolve question #1 by decreasing grid size. My fixtures still appear significantly smaller than the stock QLC+ ones.

1. only way to zoom is to shrink the "stage" dimensions. I.e. change it from default 5x5m to something like 1x2m or whatever fits your fixtures.
2. there's button to switch from "raw" channels to "fixture mode". In that mode you won't see unpatched channels and all patched fixtures will be side-by-side. See first icon in http://www.qlcplus.org/docs/simpledesk.html

Much appreciated. This solved the Simple Desk headaches I was having.
As for DMX Monitor, closer inspection revealed why certain lights were appearing smaller than they should. Someone swapped the Physical Height and Depth values in the Fixture Definition. As this was a slim profile light (American DJ Mega Par Profile to be specific) this typo made the light very tiny :P

I'll submit my corrected fixture definition at some point, but since it only affects DMX Monitor and only for one light, I can't say I'm in a hurry. :)
