First of all, I must say that QLC+ is quite impressive! It seems to fit my needs very well - I plan to add a strand of LEDs to my living-room ceiling. Hence my questions:
1. 200 RGB LEDs obviously exceed the one universe limit. I see that adding fixtures from different universes is quite seamless, however, I am not sure how it works in a RGB Matrix. What is the order in which they are assigned in the matrix? Ideally I would like the first LED of the second universe follow the last LED of the first one, especially for sequences etc.
2. I see that the RGB matrix cannot be arranged so that it is a single long row of 200 LEDs. While I understand that it would be unmanageable in the preview, such options might still be useful to configure for setups such as mine, in particular for scripting.
3. With such a number of LEDs the manual setup becomes rather tedious. Of course, RGB Matrix scripting can take care of that, but maybe some sort of middle solution could be considered, i.e. a semi-procedural setting which could produce sine waves of color, pulses running along the line, etc. I might be wrong here, though, maybe the RGB scripting is sufficient for those.
4. This question is unrelated to long LEDs: I will want to automate QLC+ with EventGhost (or Python), has anyone tried this? I suppose the web interface could be somehow controlled with EG, but I have no idea how to get around to it.... I have considered other options (like a virtual HID controller), but they seem to be more limited.

For automation, I'd investigate OSC. It's pretty straightforward to assign controls to OSC messages, and there's a pretty straightforward-looking library here: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/python-osc.

I don't currently have enough components to test it, but wouldn't it be as simple as putting the fixtures from both universes into one group and loading it into the matrix editor?
Also, good question on ways to automate it for contemporary uses. For me, I want to use DMX-controllable LED strips for the lighting in my computer case, and would love a scripting alternative so I don't have to manually load Q-light every time I boot up.
