To summarise from my findings so far before you read the below
Pi + Bookworm_20240606 + web interface + Ipad = Fairly stable *
Pi + bookworm_20241101 + web interface + Ipad = lots of crashes *
Pi + bookworm_20241101 + web interface + laptop = Fairly Stable in use but crashes when uploading file
Win 11 Laptop + 4.13.1 + web interface + iPad = very stable *
Win 11 Laptop + 4.13.1 = very stable
Hi. I ran my first show on Saturday using a Pi & iPad and was more or less faultless, apart from a couple of instances where all the lights went out - was quickly resolved by pressing a preset button in VC. Also had a couple of instances where the web interface didn't respond to VC button presses but a quick page refresh on my iPad sorted this. I also had issues with my audio setup (lost connection to my mixing desk) so suspect a possible wifi issue in the venue. (i was running 2 apple airport express, 1 for lighting, 1 for audio)
Prior to the show, at home, I've been connecting up some lights and updating my show file on my laptop then loading it onto the Pi via the web interface. Did this numerous times with no issues and was able to practice using the web interface
* One constant issue i have found is that when I'm swapping between pages, I'm getting the previous page "overlayed" on current pages. Have attached the file I'm using and the steps to recreate the problem are :- (use the buttons on the right of the screen)
Load file onto a Pi
Start on Master Page
Navigate to Pars & Wash or spots and battens then to the setup page for each fixture and back
Return to the Master page that has all the Master Presets and you should see something like the attached image.
When i looked at software versions I found I was running 4.13.0 on my laptop and bookworm_20240606. on my Pi. so updated to 4.13.1 and bookworm_20241101
However, now Im getting a lot of crashes where the web interface stops responding and won't reload on any browser/device. Also getting the occasional crash when i try upload a file to the Pi as i was doing previously. A total restart solves the issue but after a bit of use, the web interface crashes again. Can ping the Pi every time so know its not a network issue
Have run the show on my laptop and am getting the same "overlayed pages" as described above when using the web interface but no crashing so far. The actual show on the laptop is fine, not an issue. Just seems to be Pi & web interface related - have read a thread about web interface issues with apple devices and I have to say, so far, when using my laptop to access the Pi web interface, I've yet to see a crash
Hardware
Lenovo Laptop with win 11 pro and QLC 14.13.1
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B currently running bookworm 20241101 (no tinkering by me, just the clean install from the download)
Apple Airport Express with Pi connected via ethernet
Enttec Open Dmx (straight into Pi with no usb hub)
If you need any more info. just ask and any input is always appreciated
Thanks

Re the web interface crashing - last uploaded a file several days ago (crashed twice doing this) then been running the file for 5/6 hours a night. Runs smoothly unless I try go to the config / system pages and use the interfaces back button to return to the main page. Have to switch off and start again. No sign of any lighting blackouts.
Re the network - found an issue where the connection between my iPad and the Pi via my Apple AirPort Express isn’t very reliable in comparison with my Mac to Pi via the AirPort Express. Ran a ping for several hours and experienced some packet loss whereas no loss using my Mac. Will look into this.
Re the pages issues - Have amended my file and removed the fixture setup pages as I don’t really need these when using this setup.
