fade a video

I have been partially successful in fading a video, but not completely successful. I used loopback magic to do the fade, the same way we can use loopback magic to fade audio. Instead of fading all the way to black, it fades to a certain point and then stops the video. Below shows the video at the start and end of the fade. Is there a way to completely fade the intensity of the video?

I think there's an issue with the EOS (end of stream) signal arriving too early against playback.
If you have the chance to build QLC+ from sources, I suggest you to try building with Qt 6 which (finally!) use ffmpeg as multimedia backend.
I have already received positive feedbacks for audio playback. i think it will improve video playback too.
Unless this is a genuine bug that I could solve on Qt5 too.
I suggest also to try QLC+ 5 which introduces the concept of VC Sldier in "Adjust mode" meaning you can control several properties of Functions, including Video alpha (IIRC)

Thanks for the quick responses. I haven't compiled a program in years, but I'll try to give that a shot.
Another observation about video fading in 4.13.1, fading a video does not fade the audio, but I have been able to create separate audio and video files, put them in a collection, and put the fade out chases in another collection, and assign them to buttons and a slider in VC. The first time I start the collection, the audio and video aren't synchronized. The second time they are. I'll address my findings with 5 beta 3 in that forum.
