If you put a Show into a Chaser and then into a Virtual Console Cue List widget you should be able to map external controllers to play/pause it
Just make sure the step duration is consistent with the show duration

Hello all, i'v got the same topic:
I put a "Stop all functions" Button at the VC and tried to control it via a USB-Keyboard (Alt-X or F4 oder ESC) but nothing stopped the show beside ALT+F4. But this is not "QLC"-Stop that i'd like to do.
If my show doesn't play video in Fullscreen i can press the "Stop" Button i created in the VC. There it works properly.
I'll use a Intel NUC to play syncronized 2 screens from 1 PC standalone. So when the show runs (and I've got no Network to open the Web Interface) the i wanted to use a USB-Keyboard to Stop it.
It is curious that other commands to play a specific show content works. But "Stop" doesn't.

You could try creating a "Stop My Functions" button.
On the Functions Tab create a new Script.
Click on the + icon (top right) and select "X Stop Function". Now select (CTRL + Left Click) all the Functions you want it to Stop.
Put a Button on your VC to launch this Script.

Thank you for the very quick response.
I tested it at my office notebook. There it doesn't work. Only ALT+F4 works as before. I selected all shows.
At the moment the screen stays black cause the mp4 are missing on this PC.
But i think that it should close that "black-screen" as it were a mp4 playing.
As i can see it makes a difference between Chaser and Show.
I put all Shows that shall play in stand-alone mode into a chaser. There no stop function besides the "red cross" on the bottom right (next to Black out) work.
If i start a show via VC then the "Stop-My-Show" created as a script stops that. But it doesn't stop the shows that are playing in the chaser.
I think i found out where the problem is: If i use a keyboard key then the video playing is active window. The VC is in background and doesn't react to any keys or shortcuts i type in.
But at the moment i don't know what to do beside putting a arduino as a midi-stop-button in it.
Is there any other possibility ?
