I know there is a DMX Dump function that can be utilized when on the app itself, but is there a way to enact the DMX Dump function onto a scene directly from the virtual console when using it on let’s say a kiosk table is using the web portal version of the Virtual Console?
If this feature simply does not exist to be used when utilizing the VC, is there another way of capturing the DMX values of a universe through the VC, or is that function is really only accessible through the app itself?
The case application here would be, let’s say you have a user that you don’t want messing around with the app itself, and the only interface that user has is the VC, how can we let that user save a preset or whole DMX universe onto an assigned scene?

I can follow your logic, but I quickly come to a stop. What if the user could take a dump of the values? Then what? Calling this dump again somehow? Adding this to a button needs app access; hence, the DMX dump is there. If the dumped scene is played, you will need hefty HTP logic to change it again, leading to frustrations with the user?
Wouldn't it be wiser in your case to let users tamper with your show file in the app but use a copied version before QLC+ starts?
Can you explain your use case a little further? Is it to be used in a play? Has the director ordered other fixture values, and do these have to be recorded? This would ask the user/operator to take notes and name this new dump meaningfully using a keyboard... I would directly alter the scene itself. It is much quicker than tampering with dumps, etc.

All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

So in my search for solutions I came across a different post elsewhere on the forum about adding the DMX Dump function in the Script function. That would honestly be ideal (maybe I'll post on the Features Request board?) as I could just connect a VC button onto a script that uses the DMX Dump function to dump the DMX values onto a specific scene.
To go briefly into the use case here, I'm using QLC+ as the DMX backbone in integration of an AV system, so that when we want granular control of lights we go on the VC web page from the touchscreen to control things. I can easily use the DMX Dump to save a preset, but it would be great to allow the end user to record custom presets without my involvement.
