Finally got round to working on a comprehensive busking setup using all of my fixtures, however I'm getting a lot of flickering with even just 1 fixture connected. With par cans I'm getting a light flicker and with moving head I'm getting a judder in movement/colour wheel. Swapped out all connecting cabling and stuck a dmx terminator in the fixture being used. Still Flickering.
Saved the show and swapped over to my Mac Mini M1 (8gb ram) and no problem found. Connected several fixtures with no issues found. Swapped back to my laptop and for 5 mins it was all good but as time went by, flickering reappeared again. Only thing i haven't done is add a powered USB hub as i don't have one. Eventually I'm migrating a lighter version of the show to a Pi with just 12 buttons in a solo frame for presets.
Have read about some deep config changes people have made in windows registry but I'm not that confident so would prefer to not go there unless there's no other solution. I was thinking about a better dmx adapter for when I use my laptop for a full busking show as the other is in a rack (powered usb hub is on its way)
Any suggestions?

Well that appears to be fixed with a £20 powered USB Hub - I've built a 2u rack with a Pi, router, Enttec Open DMX usb adapter and an 8 way DMX splitter. Ive used the Enttec directly off the Pi previously but going to add the hub and get a second one for my laptop.
