Hi,
QLC+ won't start when USB ENTTEC is connected.
When i disconnect QLC+ starts, yay!
When i plug the USB ENTTEC after QLC+ runs the ENTTEC is not recognised so the lights won't respond to anything.
However when i start QLC+ with the ENTTEC connected at home, everything works fine...
I would like to have i the other way around...
I hope you can help me.
btw working on Windows 10
Thanks for your time!
Guus
[edit]I took the USB ENTTEC from the location to try at home and it works.
I have noticed that it is important to connect the USB ENTTEC before starting QLC+.
Plugging in the USB ENTTEC after QLC+ starts doesn't work.

If you connect the Enttec after you have started QLC+ you can update the USB DMX devices by clicking on the Configure icon of the plugin in the Input/Output Mapping tab and then clicking Refresh.

When i connect the USB ENTTEC after QLC+ is running, most of the time QLC+ crashes.
I installed the latest ENTTEC drivers and reinstalled QLC+ and reinstalled the latest ENTTEC drivers for good measure.
After a reboot, QLC+ still crashes when i connect the USB ENTTEC device.
This laptop is a Fujitsu, I'll try to install and run it on a different laptop (DELL XPS)
I am open to suggestions!

Guus,
I'd start by looking if Enttec is addressable outside of QLC+. Enttec has a tool where you can verify its functionality. If this fails, the fault lies beyond QLC+. If it's an Enttec Pro (you didn't mention the type), the tool is called PRO manager.
A quick look at your system configuration (aparaatbeheer) will reveal if the USB bus is reacting and loading the correct drivers. (Using another USB port may help also).

All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

Is your situation the same as this thread?Guus2005 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2024 6:47 pm When i connect the USB ENTTEC after QLC+ is running, most of the time QLC+ crashes.

My Win 10 machine runs v12 with OPEN USB but does not like v13 in that combination. It hasn't been a problem as I have other interfaces and PCs but I don't know if we ever understood if there's an issue with v13 and OPEN USB?
