Sorry if this was already requested, I could not find it.

Current, if I set duration = infinite for a chase step, I need to hit 'Next Cue' in order to move to next step in Cue List.

I know the 'Next Cue' can be linked to a MIDI Note, but I'd like to vary that note in the curse of the cue steps. With this, the cue list could be synch'ed to a live performance, for example from a MIDI keyboard playing live on stage.

The cue list would be like this:
Start by MIDI NOTE C3
Intro Scene 10 seconds
Verse Scene 10 seconds, and then wait for MIDI NOTE C3
Bridge Scene 10 seconds, and then wait for MIDI NOTE D3
Chorus Scene 10 seconds, and then wait for MIDI NOTE E3
...

That could be solved in chaser, if possible to attach a MIDI NOTE to leave the step, and setting duration = Infinite.

Kind of a "GO" button based on different MIDI notes...

Thanks!

I think you missed a feature you will be happy with: https://docs.qlcplus.org/v4/virtual-con ... figuration
Have a look at the 'side fader' in steps. The side fader can have an external controller configured.

@GGGss, thanks for the info, but unfortunately only one midi message can be linked to the fader slider. I need different midi messages along the course of presentation...

Ok, I hear ya.
Workaround: create a matrix of buttons in a solo frame. The number of buttons corresponds to the number of chaser steps you need. Create a dummy fixture in a loopback universe. For every step, create a scene with an increasing intensity from 1 to the number of buttons (steps). In your chaser, use the sidebar slider in step mode and bind the dummy fixture to it.
Playing a midi note should call a button in the solo frame and in turn set the value of the dummy fixture to that value. If all goes right, your chaser should now step into the according midi note played.
The DMX monitor will reveal what values are sent / seen...
