Show DMX address when adding fixtures to scene.

Request a feature that you would like to see in QLC+.
Explain in details why you would need it and which is your usage case.

Hi - very new to QLC+ so please be gentle if I'm missing something - but when adding fixtures to a scene, the DMX address is not shown in any of the columns in the "Add Fixtures" pop-up?
This would make it easier for me to identify which fixtures I'm adding by showing the starting address in a column too.
It only shows the name, universe, heads, manufacturer and model, but no address.

My only workaround currently would be to manually include the address in the name, which isn't ideal.

Thanks! :)

Eek!
I notice now too that address also aren't on the fixture tabs in the Functions>Scenes editor as well - so have needed to go through and rename all fixtures with the starting address prefix.
All of our facility lighting plans are drawn up with dmx addresses - so I need to be able to reference these.
It also means that someone else can walk up to a fixture without the drawings, read the address, and subsequently tweak the value in the software.

Any chance addresses could be referenced more?...

It is very impractical to use the DMX address as an identifier. If you need to change your DMX topology, you will surely want to move DMX addresses as well. Therefore, a fixture ID is a more acceptable solution. This ID is reflected in the venue plans you receive.

Now to your problem—the only viable solution would be to prepend or append the DMX addresses to the name you give your fixtures inside your project.
Something like this?
ScreenHunter_43 Aug. 30 12.08.gif
ScreenHunter_43 Aug. 30 12.08.gif (10.53 KiB) Viewed 541 times
And selecting them inside a scene or function:
ScreenHunter_43 Aug. 30 12.10.gif
So it's only at the time you add (change) fixtures in your project you have to (re-)name them...
