So im having an issue with QLC+, and this PKNight artnet node to dmx: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B1Y ... _qh_dp_hza where i can't get acutal dmx control to output.
In QLC+, under Inputs/Outputs, I have a ArtNet option selected, and below it says `Nodes discovered: 1`.
I then swap to the 'Simple console' tab, and move some sliders on the fixtures but nothing is happening.I also notice there's no blue blinking light indicating DMX output on the ArtNet node.
PKNight node settings:
Local IP: 169.254.184.47
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Port universe: OUT01: 1 ^(note: I did set the ArtNet port universe to 1 on QLC as well)
My setup is this:Laptop (running QLC+ 4.12.6) --> USB to Ethernet adapter --> Ethernet Cord --> PKNight ArtNet Node --> 25ft DMX Cable --> Fixture 1 (42ch) --> Fixture 2 (42ch) --> terminator
I installed an Open DHCP server on my laptop, and in the standalone console it says "Warning: Interface 169.254.17.159 is not Static, ignored"
(169.254.17.159 is the IP I set it to on the node itself)
any ideas?
Need help getting QLC to work with PkNight ArtNet Node

To setup my ArtNet devices and network I use the recommendations explained in this forum post. If you know the ArtNet device IP you can your laptop IP without using an DHCP server.

I just set up the 4 port PkNight ArtNet node.
These settings in the pictures worked.
Computer set to 10.201.6.10 for the PC and 10.201.6.100 for the node. The node is connected directly to the computer. I did have to set the Universes in the first image to 1, 2, 3, 4 instead of the default 0, 1, 2, 3

Ugh, still stuck. Rhinesel what does your Inputs/Outputs look like? is there an Artnet row with IP 10.201.6.10 there?
here are my settings:

PkNight 1 universe node has the local ip set to: 10.0.0.253 with subnet set to 255.0.0.0

Please be aware that a 169.254.x.x address is a generic address, meaning the network interface is up but no IP-address is assigned.
Luckily windows 11 does not show this behaviour anymore, so a strike-through from the list of network troubles.

Sorry, my computer is boxed up atm. But yes, the output was the computer IP address and the PKNight was found by clicking on the computer output. I do have to unpack it at the theater in a week or two to do some work on lights for our upcoming show and I'll try to remember to grab some more shots if you still need it.averwhy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 9:35 pm Ugh, still stuck. I have this exact pk knight node. I've gotten it to work with other software, but not qlc+ yet... The cr011R is the model. How do you configure it with QLC+? I get that my router is on 192.168.110.31 and I see that the qlc software sees 192.168.110.031 is where the node is. I have clicked the boxes for input and output. But I don't get any response. Any tips? Did OP get this to work?

I believe the ArtNet interface defaults to listing it as Universe 0 for the interface. Did you change it to Universe 1? If you did this you also have to adjust the configuration in the ArtNet Configuration menu in QLC+. See last video for that menu.
I used this video (I have the 4 universe version) to set mine up. It talks about setting the Interface Universe setting at 3:30.
