Hello, my first post and I am new to QLC+
I can not figure out a way to quickly make a chase sequence, almost there, but not quite.
Basically I have 12 LED PARs that I want to chase in a color. I should be able to select those instruments, say "make a chase, red" and there it is.
After a whole lot of reading, watching videos etc, the best I have found is using the RGB matrix function, then that can be saved as a Sequence. That info came from this post: viewtopic.php?p=73679#p73679
I can get the chase to animate the red channel, or whatever color I chose, but the instrument dimmer channels stay at 000, so no light. If I use Dimmer mode, then the dimmer channels will work in sequence, but I can't get any colors to turn on. It's frustrating.
Can anyone help with creating a normal chase sequence, or tell me what I am doing wrong with the RGB matrix method?
A quick chase. How?

Welcome to the community,
Do your fixtures have a dimmer channel? Then, you need to put a slider on your VC and set it to level control. Now, you can adjust the amount of light emitted.
A typical chaser needs steps. So for this to work you need to create some cue's. Or use the sequence in stead of the chaser.
The trick you use with the RGB matrix is also viable, but as I already mentioned, you need an intensity slider in level mode.
