I came across this project which is like to try for an LED matrix.

I have 6x 4m strips; 30 LEDs/m for a total of 720 LEDs. At RGB that makes it 720x3=2160 channels.

How many channels does QLC+ support?

Secondly glancing through the documentation I didn't see direct audio sync support. Say I have a playlist running on Spotify I would like the software to analyse the audio signal and extract different frequencies such as a bass to trigger lights. Is that easily possible?

Welcome to the community,

QLC+ has no restrictions on the number of universes. So 2160/512 DMX channels => you merely touch 4-7 universes (depending on how your LED driver hardware is constructed).
Create a RGB panel: https://docs.qlcplus.org/v4/fixture-man ... -rgb-panel

Audio widget with up to 16 freq bands: https://docs.qlcplus.org/v4/virtual-con ... o-triggers

(It helps you start to study the documentation...)

You might be more interested in LEDFx for this application. They've even built a QLC+ plugin which allows you to trigger functions from their project.
