Hello everyone.
First of all: I tried to search the forum if there was a post about it and maybe there isn't. Eventually I apologize for opening a post for something already addressed.
In few words:
I wanted to ask if it was possible to implement a mode/option of subtracting DMX values using e.g. a button or a fader in the virtual console.
I immagine the fader/button that subtracts as a hierarchically prioritized element that activates subtracts/decreases the values of the DMX channels containing within the scene to which it is assigned.
"Simply" by turning it on, instead of raising the value, it lowers it.
For example:
I have 2 faders, a normal one that I will call "+" in the default "addiction" mode and the other one that I will call "-" in the "Subtraction" mode.
Over a range of 0-255
the "+" fader is set to a value of 100 (DMX channel 1).
The "-" fader is set to a value of 50 (DMX channel 1).
The end result will be that channel 1 will have a value of 50 out of 255 (100-50=50)
There are probably many uses for this option/mode. It occurs to me that it might come in handy if I have one or more DMX scenes active during the performance of a show. And there's a fixture in these that I want to quickly remove during the show. With this mode I think you can do it pretty fast and accurately.
Thank you very much. I await your reply.
