Hi guys,
I need some high-level help. I’m playing in band and we run our backing tracks off of Ableton.
I have now created a basic lighting set up including a cameo Hydrabeam, a couple of PAR RGB LEDs, RGB bars, and two derbys. I have connected everything via an eurolite artnet adapter to my MacBook running QLC+ and Ableton.
The lighting set up alone is already running perfectly with QLC+ and a connected Akai APC mini MK2 controller.
What I want to achieve is to trigger certain scenes and chasers directly from Ableton while the APC controller should be able to trigger other scenes manually on top of it.
1. Is this somehow possible?
2. What are best practices to run lights from Ableton? I mean is it better to trigger single scenes in QLC+ or is it better to create cue lists for each song (50+) and just trigger a “cue list next step”?
Thanks!
Chris
