QLC+ V4 and Linux

Can someone please tell me what streaming backend QLC+ v4 is expecting to find installed to play videos on Linux? I have tried it on many different Linuxes (Debian, Arch, a couple of flavors of Ubuntu, Garuda, MX, etc...) and the only one that will play videos reliably is Manjaro. All of the rest play audio and run lights, but give a blank screen for video. Can someone point me in the direction of how to make it work on other distros?
