Hi,
I'm very new to QLC+ and using it for some pretty basic stuff. Just trying to figure out some fundamentals. I've looked around a bit for a solution to this but maybe I'm not describing it right.
I have a sequence running that's changing the color of some heads on a fixture. In my virtual console I've got a button that activates a scene and has a 3 second Fade In time. My issue is that when I click the button to move from the sequence into the new scene, the sequence stops during the fade. I've attached a video of this (apologies for the quality my screen recording software wasn't working right). Is there a way to make the transition fade smoothly while the sequence still appears to be running as it fades away? Or am I just approaching this wrong?
Thanks

Keep sequence running while fading into new scene?

Welcome to the forum,
Adding some fade-out time to your sequence is the best guess I have.
What would your desired end color be? The blue on? Your problem is the HTP precedence rule kicking in. Highest values will win the battle of conflicting values.

My issue is that as soon as I trigger the next scene and it begins fading, the sequence stops moving through its steps. This makes the transition kind of jarring. You can see how the red/cyan chasing part freezes when i click, and then fades to the gradient. I've put fade out time on the sequence and it still does this.

Did you try adding a fade in into the fixed colors? This will allow for the HTP mechanism to make it more fluent.

Yes, both the fixed colors and the sequence have fade in and fade out time. I just want the sequence to continue stepping as it fades away. Currently you can see as soon as I click to fade to the fixed colors, the sequence pauses on whatever step it is currently on and just fades out while holding that step. Is this something that can be done in the program and I'm just missing something? I'll see if I can get a better video when I get home later
