Hello, can someone help me with some settings for EFX ?
I use Qlc 4.13.0 version and when try to use EFX feature, my Movings Heads are moving only in Tilt mode, no matter what!
Otherwise, my movings are perfectly respond in Scene mode but not figure out how to set them to work in EFX mode. From 3 days i'm watching at all videos on Youtube. Should i try an older version ?
Regards

Possible resaons:
- you did set Width to zero in your EFX (could also be Height depending on the value of Rotation).
- in the XY Pad the two handles on top are to close to each other.
- your Pan channel is set to HTP instead of LTP (and there is a scene active that produces a higher value).
- there might even be a Channel Modifier on your Pan .

Most likely however is that there is an error in your Fixture Definition.
If you post your Workspace and Fixture Definition, someone could have a look.

Fixture Definition should be ok because i can make a Scene with all movement : Tilt , Pan, etc.

If you edit your scene, does it look like this:
Pan- Tilt.jpg

If the icons for Pan and Tilt are missing, there is definitely something wrong with your fixture definition.

I do not think so. :) 8-)
Have a look at channel 7.
I assume this should be your pan/tilt speed (like channel 5 in my example): it should have a "clock" icon.

If you run your EFX and use the Monitor in DMX mode, you will see that the PAN data are send to channel 7 (instead of channels 3 and 4).

Well, with channel 7 fader up, is the same, Moving Heads are moving only in Tilt move in EFX mode. Also can't make any adjustments in XY Pads Box, i can't type any value.

On Start up QLC+ reads your fixture profile in sequential order.

So it will first find that channel 3 is Pan Coarse and Channel 4 Is Pan Fine, but when it comes to Channel 7 it finds a conflicting situation (as this channel is also defined as Pan). It will solve this by not using channel 3 as Pan, but instead use Channel 7 as Pan.

If you change the preset of channel 7 in your fixture definition, it will work.

Of course you can't type any value.
If in your fixture profile you define that it can vary from 0 to 0, QLC+ will only allow you to enter zero.
Add the range in your profile, like this:

How do i know?
Other Error in Fixture Definition.jpg

Next question: why won't it show in the 2d monitor?
Because the dimensions are also missing. :) :)

One more thing, please!
As far i know, to use EFX i need a scene, so....is there a way to play continuos more scenes + EFX's ?
I have try using using Chaser but Movings Heads is moving without light on in EFX mode.

What you need is:
- a slider to control your master level.
Set your slider to Level and select Channel 1 of your Fixture.
- a solo frame with some buttons to select your color.
For each color you want to use, create a scene that sets that color (only box channel 8, leave all other channels unboxed). Don't forget to add Black (= Dim).
- a XY pad to control your EFX's.
It is important only to add your EFX's to the presets (no scenes or positions).
Just launch the EFX's with the buttons in the XY pad, then you can use the handles (on top and on the left) of the XY pad to control the size of your working area.
You do not have to set up any fixtures here, the XY pad will derive them from the EFX's.
- a solo frame with some buttons to set your Start position.
As you run your EFX's in relative mode you need to set the Start position seperately and before you start any EFX (read release notes 4.13.0).
You might also consider to use 2 frames: one for Start Postion Pan and one for Start position Tilt.
The best way however is to use a second XY pad for your positions. In order not to interfere with your other XY pad, you should not define any EFX as preset in this one.
In this XY pad you use the handles on Bottom or on the right to set your position or you can add some positions (or scenes) to the Presets.
- a Speed Dial to control the speed of your EFX's.
Add the EFX's you use to this and define some presets (e.g. Fast, Medium and Slow). Set Fade In and Fade Out Factor to Not Send (do not use fades on EFX's), only use the Duration Factor.

Keep in mind that your Pan and Tilt channels by default act as LTP (Latest takes Precedence).
