Hi,
I'm new to QLC+ and am not sure how to set it up in a way that will allow me to control some lights for an event I volunteer to do the lighting for.
The event will primarily feature amateur EDM DJs so I want most of my lights be controlled by beat.
What I have in mind is:
- X (e.g. 8) identical solo frames with buttons configuring scenes 1 to X
- a solo frame configuring when which scene becomes active, e.g
- flash scene 1,3,5,7 for Xms on beat, keep scene 2,4,6,8 between beats
- cycle through scene 1 to 4 with each beat
- simpler variants of the above
I think this would be achievable with many different ways but I have not yet found one that is supported by QLC+ (but I'm a beginner so I might very well miss the obvious)
Best,
--spq
configure function using vc buttons or cue list

In your case, I would start with creating chasers.
To learn QLC+, create 2 scenes: an even and odd scene.
Add them to a chaser.
Add this to your VC
Add a speed dial control
Try to set the speed dial to control the length of the steps in your chaser.
With this basis, you can start building your busking show. Do __not__ completely rely on bpm detection nor beat detection. A perfect show is the one where a human taps the buttons...
