Web Interface on Ubuntu

I'm starting to learn how to use qlc+ to use it in the church I attend. Due to the hardware restrictions we have I installed Ubuntu on a laptop but I'm not that familiar with the operating system. How do I activate the web interface in linux? I tried via command line with the "-web" option, the app opened but I couldn't access it via browser with localhost:9999. Is any access release required in os?

Your option misses a slash, it has to be --web, or -w

-web doesn't work.
