Hello,
I have my 6 LED headlights inluded as a fixture in the QLC and can also control them. However, when I open the DMX channel monitor, I can see the values in the DMX view, but not the function (color, dimmer) in the 2D view (the fixtures are visible though (added via "plus").
Don't I have to turn on something else to see the 2d view?
I ask for some advice. thanks, greetings Carsten

Hello Paul,
Thanks for your answer.
Here my Project for my lerning and testing.
I have 2 Pots and 4 Pars physically connected to QLC. For testing only I include the SePar Hex LED RGBAW UV IR (Adress 100).
The LED-Pots and the Test-Par coming from the Library distributed with QLC.
I programm the Fixture SePar Hex LED RGBAW IR by modifying the orginal Test-Fixture and put them to the user Library Path.
As you can see in the picture, that my user fixtures won't display the right status in the 2d View (Chanel Monitor) but the DMX-Values are fine in the DMX view.
What kind of mistake I am doing with my user Fixture?
Greatings Carsten

Please share your modified fixture. I think it's not correct. And explain what you have modified in this fixture from the original.

I took the original Fixture and saved it unter the new Path and Name.
I just modified the functions and chanels according the manual. Both Fixture are not diffent very much: the original one has UV Light instead of white.
I also removed the Aliase, because i did'nt know how to use it.
What I don't understand: the DMX Values are right and the Par-Leds are shoing the right function or color. But the 2D View does'nt.
I am confused

There Are 2 channels defined as Intensity.
Channel 8 (without function) now acts as master level.

If on the Fixture Tab you change the Fixtures to 6 Channel mode (instead of 8 channel mode, which actually are 10) everything works fine (in the Monitor).
So the problem is in one of the channels that are extra in "10 channel mode".
The aliases in the Fixture definitions look strange to me. There are a lot of rules but nothing should be active??????
Just use it in 6 channel mode (or otherwise delete and redefine those channels in the Fixture Definition Editor).

Indeed, there were failures in the fixture definition.
I wrote it new again, and now it works...I am happy
Can I see it as an Indicator: when 2d view ist not working there is failure in the definition?

Carsten,
Your description is Inconsistent. First you say you have 4 PARS but do not mention Brand and Model.
Later on you say: "I programm the Fixture SePar Hex LED RGBAW IR by modifying the orginal Test-Fixture .......".
If i look at your fixture definition and compare it to the SePar Hex LED RGBAW IR I notice that you:
- removed the Amber and UV channels and
- on channel Program Selection you use the values of the Color Program Channel of Fun Generation SePar Quad UV, with one exception: for values 74-70 you changed UV to Warm White.
- on the following channels you really mess things up.
It looks to me that you don't have SePar Hex LED RGBAW IR Fixtures but instead you have SePar Quad LED RGBW.
Maybe you should start by telling us which Fixtures you really have?

Please excuse my late reply and my probably somewhat confusing statements.
Ultimately, you were right and I was mistaken in the designation. The starting point was the SePar HEX RGBAW from the library. that was also true. But my really existing pars are the already suspected SePar Quad RGBW IR.
I have looked at the notes more closely and now checked everything again and now it runs satisfactorily. Even the thing with the aliases.
Thanks again for your effort to help a beginner.
There will be some questions for sure elsewhere
Greetings Carsten
