not able to add video track

If add audio track it gets added with its correct duration . But If I add video in mp4 format it gets added but with zero duration

Are you running Windows? If so, try converting the video file to WMV. If you don't have video editing software, you can use something like FormatFactory.

I have had issues with MP4s and other types of video files. If you're using anything other than native Windows WMV files, you will need a third party Codec pack.

I have two laptops with windows10 on one of the laptop it works even with mp4 format but on other it doesn't is it related to windows OS?

Yes it worked with WMV file Whatis max limit of file duration in such case

I don't know of any time limits. I have used QLC+ to play a 2 hour WMV movie, with no problem.
