Fade in/out in a script

Hi. Dear Sirs.
Would you mind to answer to one my question. Is there any opportunity to set fade in/out function in a script command. "Wait" command is not the same, am I right? Best regards.

To understand you better?
With scripting you want to set fade times? To what?
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

Thanks for your answer. To say the truth I need to set fade in/out time to the channels value in the set fixture commands of the script. Like users can set fade in/out times in the scenes.
