Hi all,
after searching the web & this forum without finding a solution, I´ve a question:
Is it possible to set up a button (that can be attached to a MIDI device button) in the Virtual Console to switch from operate to design mode and/or to blackout/reactivate (blackout button) the DMX signal?

(WIN11, Eurolite PRO MK2 Interface, Korg NanoKontroll2 MIDI-device)

BTW: A great piece of software. Thanks for the work and the free usage :)

THX for any hints & best regards
Ralph

Toggling design mode would be nice, but I am not aware of how to do that. You can easily create a blackout button:

  • In virtual Console, create a button
  • in the editor select "Toggle Blackout"
  • Fix the name,etc.
  • Assign to midi
I've used this before, and works well.

UPS.... That was easy... THX
I always was looking for "change operate > design mode in VC by button" and similar.

Maybe someone knows how to do this? Seems I´m not alone looking for a solution 8-)

On a Raspi, there is a hard-coded [CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[F12] key combination.
This isn't the case with my M$ version.
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore

Hmm....
This is a pity - otherwise it would be easy to map a button to the hotkey-combi e.g with bome midi translator or using a device like StreamDeck on a WIN system.
No other ideas :( ?

Yea .. in the manual it has 'CTRL+F12' .. however on mac that's 'Command+F12' and is overridden by the 'Volume Up'; so you'd have to either:
  • remap that in the System Prefs->Keyboard->Keyboard Shortcuts ->Function keys -> Use F1,F2 as standard function Keys and 'Command+F12'
  • hold 'Fn+Command+F12' to toggle.
As far as midi goes .. I have used something like https://charlie-roberts.com/midiStroke/ to map midi input to keys when the system software couldnt' do it. There may be better options now.

On Ubuntu Plasma Desktop CTRL+F12 is assigned to Show Desktop. Deactivating this in Plasma Desktop in QLC+ you can use this to set Operation Mode On/Off.

Thanks, but now I´m trying since 1 hour without any success. The only result is, that I checked other hotkeys (e.g. Ctrl+M = Monitor or Ctrl+F11 = Fullscreen) are also not working here.

Are you talking about WIN system controll - or... (QLC+ doesn´t have one if I´m right?)???
