(Solved) Fixture editor: Create alias rules

Ask a generic question about the usage of QLC+, not related to a particular operating system

The definition of alias rules seems more complicated than I expected.
I changed a capability to the "Alias" preset, so it appears in the alias dropdown list, but the "in mode" dropdown still stays empty. With more than one capability set to alias, I managed to set a rule and the resulting fixture preset initially works as expected, but it seems that the alias rule even causes QLC+ to crash when it's triggered.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug in the alias system?
(Testing other fixture definitions from the library with alias rules, I couldn't find any bigger problems although 2 of them like "American-DJ-WiFly-PAR-QA5" don't work.)

So I just found the reason for my problem. When the list of capabilities of a channel is incomplete (a region of values is not defined, e.g. because a line has been deleted) and this channel also contains alias presets, QLC+ doesn't detect this as an error, but will crash when entering the undefined value region of the channel. I will open a bug report for this.
