I currently have 12 of these fixtures

I currently hang these vertical with pixel 1 of 36 at the top
12 wide

How would I setup a rgb group correctly in qlc?

Here is an example of how I set them up

You only have 12 pixels (heads in the fixture profile)
Isn't it better to create a matrix instead of using groups? If your fixture doesn't have a master dimmer channel or other DMX channels disturb the matrix addressing chain, it's the better choise.

Offtopic: Please strap your tops to your subs. It wouldn't be the first time tops vibrate off their base and eventually fall down - I've seen it happen...
