X/Y Pad Fine Control using MIDI

So I've been using QLC+ for about a year now and have used it for a couple of shows so far. It works great and I love it.

Recently I started using Moving Heads in my shows and not only static lights. So I mapped my moving head to an X/Y Pad in the virtual console and then added two rotary encoders from my Midi console for the pan and tilt function.

Now I am wondering if I can use the 16 bit fine movement controls using the midi input as well. I know that you can use them when operating the x/y pad using the keyboard but when using the midi input it only controls the coarse movement channel.

I hope I am clear with what I am trying to achieve here.
If anyone has any idea how to achieve this I would appreciate some feedback.

It's the nature of midi that limits your possibilities... midi is 7bit so 0-127 -> when it enters QLC+, the values are doubled and hence a course movement behavior.
All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore
