Audio control keeps DMX values when deactivitated

Ask a generic question about the usage of QLC+, not related to a particular operating system

Hello all,

first of all QLC+ is a wonderful piece of SW with marvellous functions. It does nearly all what i need for my small home DJ equipment.

But I have questions regarding the sound 2 Light funktion.

First the level button does not seem to work. I have used Voicemeter to redirect my soudn output to QLC+ and everything except the volume control is working. What do I wrong?

Second when I turn off the sound to light control the widget does post the latest values (DMX) to the universe or lets the functions in its latest status (e.g. activated). This is awesome as when trying to activate other functions aftwerwards e.g. some DMX values are still as the audio control has left them.

Is there a way to parameterize the audio control that it sets all values to 0 or deactivates all functions when turned off/eactivated? Nobody wants these values to be kept until the next activiation a they are changing every millisecond.

Have a nice day

Joachim,

I presume you are working on WIndows? Then I have bad news in the form that with windows the audio control is behaving badly (too low a signal).
When you disable the audio widget, the values are kept to the last state... <- this is a known bug. You can work around using a loopback channel - please look for it, I've written tad posts using the loopback magic.

Yes, it is Windows. But for my requirements the plug in is OK so far.

Thanks for the replay, I will check the loopback.

Meanwhile I will deactivate the Plug-in only when music is stopped :-)
