How do I control the volume input Fader in the Audio Widget externally from something like an APC 40 mkII? I've been looking around and I haven't found a solution to this yet. I'd rather be able to adjust from an external fader as live audio can change a bit over time and found this function useful on standalone controllers.
I have tried to add it as a submaster fader to the audio widget and doesn't seem to work as expected (starts jumping up and down then takes itself to 0 after a bit.)

Live audio you say? Then it's the job of the audio guy to normalize input audio levels.
