Hello all.
For a dancing/installation performance i'm trying to set up a Virtual console with all the things needed from the dancers to be autonomous.
Is a very long performance with one 4hour audio file.
i have a big button which start/stop the music and all the light effects sequences.
I'm trying to create a slider just to adjust audio volume, but have not succeded.
If I use it in submaster it'll fade lights too.
If i use it in level doesn't affect volume since cannot select audio function.
If I use it in Playback seems to work, but if i go to 0 it stops the audio track and start from begining when raised loosing all sync.
Not sure if i Explained myself.
Another question, or maybe a feature request:
I was thinking to set a clock in the VC to start the show, but is going to be at different times at different days (one show on workdays, 2 shows in weekends)... any way to have a clock+calendar, or will have to work with crontab?
Any help appreciated...
Thanx

Welcome to the forum,
Only one question per thread to keep things organised, please.
The submaster affects everything which is started inside the container the submaster resides. This is what you observed.
Create a frame, place a button and bind it to your audio file. Create a submaster inside that frame. When you play the audio, you should be able to control its value.
Now you will notice that you have to press the 'start show button' and the audio button. This you can change by using a collection or the more difficult way by using the loopback magic.
Clock and show-starts will need a crontab job (and autostart switches and a autostart scene or function (look at the green flag on the Functions tab), a collection is very handy here)
Pfieuw ... 4h dance performance. I'm already afraid that audio & lights will go out of sync as this already has been observed on previous occasions.

Hi,
I dont have any idea with the autostart of the show, didnt really understand your setup. (im not used in music play with qlcplus).
You can add another dimmer (to a new universe) and asign a new slider to it (in level mode) and set the lower limit to 1 (or do you need a mute option?). Now you can activate the loopback universe and assign the channel of the dimmer to the old slider (in playback mode).
Other workaround (but almost the same), instead of changing the limit of the first slider you can adjust the dimmer curve/channel fader settings of the dimmer.
Hope it helps a little.
