I have gone thru and tried to set up a profile in qlc+ for the midi notes coming from Studio One.
I started using qlc+ and used the auto detect function in qlc, things worked.
I set up a midi profile and things stopped.
I tried o set up a profile bc I am getting some weird happenings with how my fixtures are functioning.
For instance, I have four notes that tell four of the same kind of lights do do a white wash. I can do a sequence in midi t activate them all, or one at a time... Works fine. But then I add a note that turns on white lite in a moving head that is set to an automated patter, and the light lights up - but no movement.
It I send the note to he moving head by itself, it works just fine. But all five notes and the moving head lights, but doesn't move.
Could this be bc I don't have a midi profile? Everything seems to work fine without the profile?
Thanks in advance.

Ah ... ok, the fixture profile guy.
Don't start multiple threads dealing with the same issue.
I'd start with sending us your project file and we go from there on...
(but see my other answer -> we lack documentation to the custom fixtures, so you'll send us an incomplete project...)

ehhm ... explain please? How can a profile stop 'things'. What things?
This has nothing to do with what midi-inputs you send, to start with. It all relates to how you have arrange your show components (functions).SingingDrummer wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:03 pm some weird happenings with how my fixtures are functioning

Thanks, my apologies for adding another very similar thread... I thought something went wrong with my submission bc I didn't see that it needed to be approved by a moderator (I am not a frequent forum user...). I will get the project file uploaded, super incomplete. I have stared out just making a lot of scenes, then I started building a virtual mixer to trigger those buttons via midi notes... But I haven't gotten far bc I have been learning how those buttons react to the midi notes played (flash vs on till another not sent = off). So I tried to read some more and saw comments about setting up midi universes and midi profiles (profiles under the input/output tab). I am very much over my head.
But it will get the project loaded shortly. Thank you

Don't forget that, when creating an input profile, you can tick the option: 'Generate an extra press / release when toggled' https://www.qlcplus.org/docs/html_en_EN ... files.html
This will help you for sure.
