Hello!
I have a few questions, im trying to setup an automatic show. I just wanna programm nice effects (rbg matrixes) on my led bars and then lets a 10 hour show run a whole evening.
I found out how to drag an rbg matrix into a show and then change the duration to, say, 1 min.

1) Is this even the best way to create a 10 hour show for example? (like I said, I want it to just run all evening, changing effects every minute or so)
2) If I try to copy the 1min rbg matrix it doest copy the time, I have to change the time by hand again to 1min. Any way to fully copy the matrix inside the show while keeping the time the same?
3) Can I input sound from a mixer into my laptop and sync the effects with the BPM?
4) Can I loop the show somehow? Right now, if the show runs out the lights are dark. Can I have it automatically restart?

Thanks

It all depends on the time you want to invest in creating effects. Some prefer fixed lights, others want it flashy...

Not exactly, you want 1 minute, somebody else wants 30s. So what to choose as default? If you are a little handy with a text editor and .XML files, you can open your project file and adopt timing there. Take a backup first because if you break the structure of the file, your project is kaput.
3) Can I input sound from a mixer into my laptop and sync the effects with the BPM?
You can try but many have not succeeded. True BPM detection needs a little bit more knowledge about music than just the bass levels f.i. It all depends on how you arrange your music workflow. (On windows, the input levels are quite low, so you won't be able to trigger things precisely.)
4) Can I loop the show somehow? Right now, if the show runs out the lights are dark. Can I have it automatically restart?
Put your show inside a chaser and have it to loop forever?

Editing the .XML file was by far the easiest way to make a show, thanks for the tip/idea!

This worked great! Thanks

I managed to get a nice automatic show going now, but the effects themselves are a bit "laggy", I have led bars and if I add a wave style effect for example it feels a little bit stuttery/laggy/slow. Any idea how to make the effects a little bit more fluid?

Sorry to tell, but that is by design ... maybe Massimo should look into it. It's the stuttery behaviour that bothers me most. With 4-8 additional calculations in between, it would be much nicer and not noticeable.
