My USB-Interface (FTDI...) does not work with Mac OS 10.11.6 and QLC+ 4.12.3 – no problem under Windows 10

On Mac the Input/Output page see the interface: Plugin "USB DMX", "FT232R USB UART ...", checkbox for Output universe 1

If i select the plugin row, the info window tell:

1: FT232R USB UART (S/N: AB0K9TF1)
Gerät ist funktionsfähig.
Verwendeter Treiber: libFTDI
Protokoll: Open DMX USB
Hersteller: FTDI
DMX Kanäle: 512
Frequenz der DMX-Frames: 30Hz
System-Timer Genauigkeit: Dieses Geräte mit einem Universum verbinden um es herauszufinden.

DeepL:

1: FT232R USB UART (S/N: AB0K9TF1)
Device is functional.
Driver used: libFTDI
Protocol: Open DMX USB
Manufacturer: FTDI
DMX channels: 512
Frequency of DMX frames: 30Hz
System Timer Accuracy: Connect this device to a universe to find out.

The last row is different under Windows 10:

System Timer Accuracy: good

How can i connect the interface to universe 1 on Mac? Or what's going wrong?

Did you 'tick' the box in Universe 1 f.i. in your input/output-tab?

tells me it isn't included in your project yet.

Sometimes, unchecking/checking the output checkbox refreshes the output state and then starts working.

I don't know how to connect the interface to the universe. Checking and unchecking the box top right make no change...

The picture is similar to Windows, except the last row...

I found a post where problems with QLC+ with the old Core2 processor are reported. I have a MacBook Pro 3.1 from 2007 with Core2 CPU - can this be the reason for the problems?

Is there an older version of QLC+ that works with the Core2 processor? Gladly also under 10.6.8?

I am not sure what your problem is, and don't have anyway of testing, but in past I have been able trouble shoot some of these issues by using the 'configure selected plugin' button (spanner and scewdriver).

In MACOSX, when you click the button, the window isn't always fully expanded. Extend the window and other options will become available. It might help. ;-)
