Triggering scene recall from ArtNet or sACN/E1.31

Ask a generic question about the usage of QLC+, not related to a particular operating system

Hi there!
Sorry for my basic/stupid question, but i'm a QLC+ newbie.

I need to manage different scenes for my room: empty, evening (cyan), night (dark blue).
I need to recall a specific light scene from openhab or my custom software by using a simple UDP packet (sacn, artnet or osc).

So i created:
a) the DMX fixture (4 channels each) of our ledstrips;
b) three light scenes including all channels with different values to match my needed colors;
c) three buttons into the virtual console to recall each scene.

But pressing a button in virtual console make ligh scene being recalled only "while active or pressed" and does not change values of its channels permanently (until next light scene recall). Is it normal?

I expect, from my applicaiton, to simply send a "UDP packet" when a specifc light scene need to be recalled and not to keep sending packets.

Is it possible? Thank you

Change the behavior of the buttons to 'toggle' - I guess that you have it set to 'flash' now.
Multiple buttons controlling the same fixtures can be put inside a solo frame, so only one button will be active simultaneously.
