I am looking at trying to create a scipt (macro) that would allow me to use my Akai APC40 track control rotory dials for adjusting x, y positions for multiple moving lights when I am working on adjusting positions to get the values to adjust my functions with. so my question is if I have rotary A and Rotary B, when i select button 1, it tells rotary A and Rotary B to use moving head 1's x and Y, button 2, is moving head #2, etc.

Just looking for some direction

You could work with pages in a frame and your buttons to call the page...
On every page, you have the controls for its tilt and pan.
I doubt, with that amount of work - just to set initial positions - it will be worthwhile.

In all my projects, I work with start positions, and all functions are built/based on those positions.
I only have to change the start positions when I reach to a new venue or setup.
Scene per scene, fixture per fixture with the help of the scroll wheel of my mouse, this goes fast enough.
The only missing function here would be a highlight function. My workaround is using the simple desk setting intensity for the fixtures under control.

Unless you are trying to achieve something else of course...
