Amazing program and architecture! I've never touched lights in the 15+ year of playing music live but after a few days I was able to get to grips around what needed to be done and it feels satisfying!

I'm currently version 4.12.2 and was curios to see if I could get the 2D viewer to work for me but it doesn't seem to respond so after a few searches I noticed the Alpha for version 5 was out.

What are your thoughts on swapping over? Should I maximise my understanding of version 4 and have something stable or move to 5 and roll with the updates? Id really love to be able to make sequences/desks and universe without having to have the lights physically turned on or in front of me

For those interested I'm running QLC+ the following way

Windows 10 64bit - Behringer UMX250 (For Testing and Mapping) - Reaper (DAW) - LoopBe1 - QLC+ - Enttec Open DMX - 2 Light Bars

Controlling the virtual desk via MIDI CC channels in reaper and queued my light stabs and sectors on the piano roll :)

You may use QLC+ 4 for controlling lights as it is more stable, and use QLC+5 just for visualization.

Would it be as easy as loading in my version 4.12 workspace and then building off of that?
