I have set up a VC with all my scenes (looks) on sliders (so I can modify their levels). I do this using a combination of scenes and now I want to preserve the overall look.

I can dump all the DMX channels to a new scene.. That' works great for one scene (or a few scenes). But in a big theater show, I might want to later "tweek" a scene. If I have set up a collection of scenes, I can do this (change one scene and it is changed in every collection it is in) but once I merge all the DMX channels into a blob of levels, I have to make a tweek like that in EACH new dumped scene. I can't go back to the source, because when you dump from VC, the source scenes are lost..

I would like to see a way to "dump" all the SCENES (at whatever leveL) into a collection. The collection represents the same thing as the DMX channel dump does into a scene, except that it would preserve the source base for each scene, and hopefully include the level of each scene as well (see another post I made about being able to modify the levels of each scene in a collection local to the collection only). Now if I want to tweek a scene, I can just go to that scene, make the tweek (maybe adjust a level or a color or even a fixture) and it should be reflected in every look that uses that scene. Since collections (once created) are essentially scenes themselves, that capability should be recursive (i..e., it should apply to collections as well.. In fact, ideally (if I were starting this project from scratch) the distinction between scenes and collections would be eliminated and scenes would simply be a "collection" of fixtures OR other scenes so that the abiltity to nest these things would be infinite (subject to memory of course).
