I think a great feature that would be to have integrated on-line fixture database integrated into QLC+ software.
it could be integrated through GIT or something, people would submit their fixtures, be verified and software could automatically download and install database on users demand.

Have a look at the Open Fixture Library! It is a project run by my brother and me and everybody who wants to contribute. The fixtures can be downloaded from the website for various different lighting programs, including the current version of QLC+ (and soon also QLC+ 5 Alpha).
The library is not integrated into QLC+'s UI, but we work together with Massimo to maximize compatibility and it works great!
Please let us know your feedback (new points of view about the project's purpose could be very helpful!) and if you want to, create a new fixture or see if you can help in another way

I took a quick look at the OFL, and it seems to be a good project.
At this moment it seems to drop a lot of warnings and errors when a new fixture is added, but I guess we (the developers in the community) should make fixture definitions easy, and write autocorrection scripts.
Even better would be to contact manufacturers, and get all definitions from them at regular intervals? Process the format from them into QLC (+ .,) format ...
Importing lamp by lamp manually seems to be the wrong approach ....

Welcome to the world...
Are you willing to pay a (subscription) fee so that every manufacturer expenses can be payed for adopting their profiles to 'every' software available?
Have a look at the libraries of the Big 4 lighting desk manufacturers - even they are not complete or without errors believe me.
It IS a standard that you have to write your own fixture definitions and share them with your lighting colleges... in the hope that once you can find a fixture file without errors.

All electric machines work on smoke... when the smoke escapes... they don't work anymore
