Currently, I have a set of functions that are tied to virtual console buttons. Each function has its own fade in/out timing, and the buttons on the VC are controlled via MIDI.
I was looking at the EFX feature and I'm not 100% sure how it works. I've created an EFX for two moving heads, but how do I actually apply that EFX to a function?
For example, currently one function simply fades in my two moving zoom washes. If I wanted to fade those in and have them move in a preset effect pattern, how do I combine the two features into a single function that can be triggered by a VC button?
Thanks!
Not quite understanding how to apply EFX. Can you help?

Here you can add other function that are executete simultanously.
A chaser and/or scripts could be of any help too. They can contain
other functions. You should use them if execution needs to be in a specific
order and/or a specific timing.
As far as the same fixtures are affected, you might have a look at sequences too.
At least, you have the option to program a show...
